On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Cantabria Chip Chair of the University of Cantabria, we warmly invite you to the 40th edition of the Conference on Design of Circuits and Integrated Systems (DCIS 2025). It is a privilege and a pleasure to host in this anniversary the DCIS conference, an annual event since 1981. We are working hard to make the conference an unforgettable scientific and social experience.

The conference on Design of Circuits and Integrated Systems (DCIS) is a well-established international meeting that provides opportunities to both researchers in the academia and professionals of industry to exchange new ideas and application experiences in the highly active fields of micro-and nano-electronic circuits and integrated systems. It provides an excellent forum to present and discuss works on the emerging challenges offered by technology, in the areas of modeling, design, implementation and test of devices, circuits and systems.

We will keep the traditional features of DCIS and consolidating novel ideas that have evolved in recent years. Thus, the technical program will include regular papers with emphasis on emerging topics including, but not limited to, electronic systems for artificial intelligence, unconventional computing, future and new paradigm communications, reliability of circuits and devices, biomedical and bio-inspired circuits and systems, RISC-V design platforms and smart systems for electrical vehicles. Keynote speeches, a panel session, and special sessions devoted to specific topics are also forecasted, as well as the 7th edition of the DCIS PhD competition that gives students the opportunity to briefly present their research advances and discuss with the conference attendees. Best papers will be invited to submit extended vrsions of the work to the Microprocessors and Microsystems Journal.

Santander (Cantabria), in northern Spain, combines verdant mountain landscapes with white sandy beaches, stately buildings, and palatial structures with avant-garde architecture and an unmistakable echo of its fishing tradition. A city that encompasses many cities, perfect for exploring. A city that seems taken from a fairy tale and whose life revolves around its bay, recognized as one of the most beautiful in the world.
The aristocracy and royalty of the late 19th and early 20th centuries made Santander the quintessential holiday destination. A stroll through the historic center, with its majestic buildings, transports us to that distinguished past, best witnessed by the Magdalena Palace, the jewel of the city. Santander fuses this magical palatial atmosphere with a fishing tradition that can be enjoyed today especially in the city’s so-called fishing district: the ideal place to taste the most traditional local cuisine, so closely linked to the sea. This identity of contrasts is completed by the «new» Santander, one that has immersed itself in the latest cultural and artistic trends and which you will find captured in the modern Centro Botín, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano.

Santander is located in northern Spain and is easily accessible from all parts of the country. Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport is located five kilometers from the city and has connections to Barcelona, Dublin, Edinburgh, the Canary Islands, London, Madrid, Malaga, Milan, Marrakech, Palma de Mallorca, Paris, Rome, Seville, Valencia, and Vienna.
Do not miss this splendid opportunity to share your research results in a warm and exciting atmosphere.
